A memorable event for baseball fans happened in Vancouver in 19Original Art. Babe Ruth and a crew of his famous baseball friends played ball at Athletic Park to a very enthusiastic crowd. Babe and friends were very impressed by the crowd who stayed for the whole game even though it was pouring rain as it can only do in Vancouver. The group then departed on the Empress of Japan from Pier BC for a baseball tour of Japan. The patron for whom this painting was produced owned many items of memorabilia from the game and the cruise and the painting tied the whole story together for him.
