Every where you look, buildings are reflected in the canals. When there is no wind Venice’s face can be seen in nature’s mirror.
West Bay
“West Bay has family ties for me, going back to the time when my mother used to holiday in Rose Cottage only feet away from the beach. It is still there, and so is the village of Waldich where I used to stay as a child, also untouched by time. Little did I know that the area would have links with my future home in British Columbia, for Bridport, only a mile distant, was the manufacturing town for much of the world’s linen fishing nets, many of which were shipped to the canneries of BC. The world is indeed a small place.”
Winter Sun over Bacino Di San Marco
