The Big Push
24” x 36” | Oil on board
A large freighter being turned around at the entrance to Vancouver Harbour (British Columbia) is a clear demonstration of the power of small docking tugs.
John painted this image when the tugs were still owned by Cates. Since then the Washington group has purchased Cates and merged it into Seaspan, to become the largest tug company in the Vancouver area.
