Tea Time – temporary title – Fuzhou, (we knew it as Fouchow) China

I am working on a new painting that includes some of the tea clippers I have painted before. This city was the biggest tea exporting city in China. The main part of the port is in a community called Mawei and there is a significant pagoda towering over the Min River known as “Pagoda Anchorage”，It was once regarded as the symbol of China by the seamen. Its name is Luoxingta (Luoxing Pagoda). Today, the government of Mawei District built a beautiful park around it. The fun part of the painting is all the research and deciding the type of sky and sea/river.
